Cameron Wood (she/her) is a dedicated and versatile dance artist originally from Orlando, Florida, and currently based in the Carolinas. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Modern Dance from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she received rigorous training in both classical and contemporary dance techniques.
Cameron began her ballet training at the age of three and has since cultivated a deep foundation in the art form. Over the years, she has studied under and collaborated with a number of esteemed artists and educators, including Jae Man Joo, Julia Erickson, Susan Stowe, Duncan Cooper, and Caitlin Self. These experiences have helped shape her as a technically proficient and expressive performer.
In addition to her collegiate and private training, Cameron has further honed her craft through participation in prestigious dance programs across the country. Her training includes residencies and intensives at Alonzo King LINES Ballet in San Francisco, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, the Joffrey Ballet School’s Miami program, and MODAS Dance in New Mexico. Each of these opportunities contributed not only to her dynamic range and adaptability as a dancer, but gave her insight on what it means to be a good educator.
With a lifelong passion for dance and a commitment to artistic growth, Cameron continues to explore opportunities that challenge her creativity. She strives to create a safe environment for students to expand their views on ballet as a physical practice as well as an art form.
